Kaiseki is a traditional multi-course Japanese dining experience. Individual dishes that are visually striking and served in a specific order.

A unique way of preparing and presenting exquisite dishes. Beautiful to the eye as well as taste for a multi sensation experience.

The term also refers to the collection of skills and techniques that allow the preparation of such meals and in analogous to Western haute cuisine like a French Course meal.

(( The Owner Chef And Our Team ))

Japanese owner chef Makoto Kuwaki trained as a Cha Kaiseki Master Chef from the age of 18. He spent over 15 years being mentored by several of the Top Kaiseki Master Chefs in Japan.

He also learned kadō, the delicate art of Japanese Flower Arranging along with chadō Japanese Tea Ceremony to express the beauty of Kaiseki cuisine in Japan.

Makoto Kuwaki ran his own Japanese flight meals and catering business in London before he started YoKOYA , supervising the flight meals in first and business classes and serving his meals to the Japanese Majesties the Emperor and Empress, Japanese Prime Ministers plus a host of celebrities.

He’s aiming to deliver the true meanings of authentic Japanese Kaiseki cuisine to you by the one who studied his craft in Japan. Our team equally have a strong passion as Japanese, who grew up in Japan.

A ten course Authentic Kaiseki Menu Perfectly designed by Japanese Kaiseki master chef Makoto Kuwaki using his strong connections with his reliable suppliers including from Japan. Seasonally and monthly thought out he always chooses the best from local ingredients like Cornish fish plus all over the world as much as he can. We deliver a true authentic Kaiseki meal not using western ingredients ,over power taste and sauce, local ingredients and the meaningless garnishes doesn’t suitable for a pure authentic Japanese cuisine and express the beauty of ‘Simplicity’ of a beautiful Japanese Kaiseki culture .We use Japanese air cargo every week to get special ingredients from Japan to deliver a special authentic Kaiseki experience to all our guests.

Kaiseki dining is based around a tea ceremony. Prior to the tea ceremony the owner serves all his invited guests to enjoy all their main meal courses. This is because you can’t enjoy the tea if you are hungry! We’ll serve you homemade desserts and Matcha at the end of your Authentic Kaiseki course meals so you can enjoy the full Kaiseki experience.

(( YoKOYA Lunch Gozen meal ))

We started YoKOYA Lunch Gozen recently.YoKOYA Lunch Gozen is available at lunch time only /Fri-Sun(12:00 PM-14:00PM). We’re afraid that we can’t accommodate same day. At least 1 day before reservation is only.

The meaning of ‘Gozen’ is that it was originally named for the emperor’s meal. It’s a traditional style set meal in Japanese culture and for respecting the guests. Kaiseki Chef Makoto handpicks high-quality ingredients. He cooks using traditional Japanese cooking methods to share the culture as a Kaiseki master chef.

YoKOYA Lunch Gozen is a set meal served all together on ‘Kaiseki Bon(tray)’.We also serve homemade dessert at the end of Lunch YoKOYA Gozen.

It doesn’t include Japanese tea ceremony.

You can also enjoy Sake pairing with an Authentic Kaiseki meal.

Your drinks are served with Kagami Crystal which is a beautiful Japanese crystal glassware.
